Snom M500 Dual DECT Base Station

The Snom M500 with two Base Stations forms a DECT Cell for up to 16 Phones and 16 parallel calls. Suitable for all offices and medium sized businesses, part of the new Snom M500 Dual DECT System, it supports the Snom M55 DECT Handset and the Snom M58 DECT Deskphone (Both Sold Separatley) for mobile office workplaces.

One of the distinguishing features is the unique Snom Shared Call Emulation (SCE), this enables call sharing on several lines. Calls can be monitored, accepted, held, unheld and picked up via 6 LED function keys across all registered Phones. This ensures an additional degree of flexibility in various scenarios.

The Snom M500 is equipped with the latest encryption standards (TLS & SRTP), making security one of the main focus points of this Base Station.

DECT

The Snom M500 communicates using the radio standard for telecommunications, this is called DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications).

Dual Cell System

The DECT Base can be extended with a second Base to form a Dual Cell

Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The M500 receives its power via the connected network cable, provided that the network switch used supports this and has enough power to supply all of the connected devices.

Security (TLS & SRTP)

The M500 DECT Base supports all commo security protocols, such as TLS, SIPS, SRTP etc.

Shared Call Emulation (SCE)

Shared Call Emulation is similar to BLF on Desk Phones. It allows monitoring, viewing, answering, holding and transferring calls via the programmable keys.

Telephone Directory

The Base Station is designed with an integrated phone book.
