The Fanvil LINKVIL CP20 is a USB-C wireless presentation pod for LINKVIL CA200 and CA400 meeting-room systems. A presenter plugs it into their laptop and presses one button to put their screen on the room display at up to 4K UHD, with no software to install. Each system supports up to four CP20 pods, which suits rooms where several people present in one meeting.
The CP20 has one large share button. Press it and the laptop’s screen appears on the meeting-room display at up to 4K UHD. Press it again and sharing stops. The USB-C cable is fixed to the pod, so the presenter has a single plug to connect and nothing to install or configure.
The pod sends its picture to the RC10 receiver over 5 GHz Wi-Fi, using Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6. Presenters can sit up to 10 m from the receiver.
Freeze holds whatever is on the room display while the presenter carries on using their laptop. They can open an email, look up a figure or set up the next slide, and the room only sees the frozen image. A second press of Freeze brings the live screen back.
Two volume buttons sit beside the share button. They raise and lower the laptop’s own system volume, which is useful when a presentation includes video.
A LINKVIL CA200 or Fanvil Linkvil CA400 system supports four CP20 pods in total with the RC10 receiver. Each presenter keeps a pod plugged into their own laptop for the whole meeting. When it’s their turn, they press their button and the display switches to them.
The display shows one laptop at a time. Extra pods are paired to the system with the optional Pairing Adapter or the optional H2C.
The CP20 also connects the laptop to the room’s audio and video equipment. A UVC camera, microphone or speakerphone plugged into the RC10 is available to the laptop wirelessly, so a presenter can run a video call from their own machine with the room’s camera and audio.
Everything sent between the CP20 and the RC10 is protected with WPA3-PSK encryption. The share button shows the connection state: flashing green while connecting, solid green when ready, yellow if the laptop isn’t sending a video signal and red if the connection fails. The Freeze button shows green while sharing is live and red while the image is paused.
The CP20 works with LINKVIL CA200 and CA400 systems and their RC10 receiver. It is not a standalone wireless display adapter.
The laptop needs a full-featured USB-C port that supports USB Power Delivery, data transfer and DisplayPort Alt Mode. Thunderbolt ports meet this requirement. A lightning bolt or DisplayPort symbol beside the port shows it will work.
The pod suits boardrooms, client meeting rooms and training rooms where visitors and staff present from their own laptops.
