Yealink A50-010 MeetingBar with VCR11 Remote Control

The Yealink MeetingBar A50-010 is an all-in-one Android video bar for medium and large meeting rooms, supplied with the Yealink VCR11 remote control. It has three 50MP cameras, a 16-microphone array with a 10-metre pickup range and four built-in speakers. Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms run on the bar itself, so the room needs no separate meeting room PC.

Why the Yealink A50 Suits Medium and Large Rooms

The A50 is a 910mm bar with the cameras, microphones, speakers and meeting software for a larger room in one unit. It runs Android 13 on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP).

Qualcomm 8550 Processing Power

The A50 runs on a Qualcomm 8550 processor, and Yealink says it is the first Android video bar to use this chip. The bar handles its AI camera and audio processing on the device itself, including IntelliFocus close-ups and AI noise suppression, so these do not depend on a connected PC.

Triple 50MP Camera System

The A50 has one wide-angle camera and two telephoto cameras, each with a 50MP sensor. The wide camera covers 98° horizontally and 81° vertically, and the telephoto cameras cover 41.6° horizontally for detailed shots of people further down the room.

Video output runs at 4K 30fps or 1080p 60fps, with 8x digital zoom and nine preset camera positions. Depth of field runs from 0.7 to 8 metres, and the cameras have wide dynamic range, auto exposure and a minimum illumination of 0.5 lux in daylight mode.

AI Framing for Larger Meetings

IntelliFocus shows close-up portrait views of up to four recent speakers. Auto Framing keeps the group in shot, Speaker Tracking follows whoever is talking, and People Counting reports how many people are in the room. Picture in Picture is supported, and Smart Gallery is available on Zoom Rooms only.

Video Fence sets the boundary of the meeting space, so people outside it stay out of the call. When the meeting ends, a physical privacy shutter closes over the cameras automatically.

16 Microphone Pickup Across a Large Room

The A50 has a 16 MEMS microphone array with an 8-metre premium pickup range and a 10-metre effective pickup range. Yealink defines premium range as the distance where audio is clear and usable for calls, and effective range as the distance where sound is still captured but reverberation and background noise may affect it.

AI noise suppression, reverberation suppression, echo cancellation and automatic gain control are built in, with full-duplex audio. Up to three expansion microphones can be added for bigger rooms, and Yealink lists support for extension and ceiling microphones.

Four Speakers for Stereo Sound

Four 5W speakers (10W maximum each) give stereo sound at up to 97dB SPL at 1 metre, with a frequency response of 80Hz to 20kHz. Sound is projected across a 0 to 180° angle in front of the bar.

Connecting Displays, Laptops and Accessories

Two HDMI outputs, each up to 4K 30fps with HDMI CEC, let the room run one or two displays. The USB 3.0 Type-B port connects the bar to a laptop using the 2.5m USB-A to USB-B cable in the box, and there is also a USB 3.0 Type-A port.

A USB-C port is used for pairing a wireless dongle, and two Yealink VCH ports (RJ-45) connect Yealink accessories. A 3.5mm line-in and line-out port links external audio.

Teams, Zoom and General Mode

Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms run natively on the A50, and RingCentral is supported. In General Mode, also called BYOM, a laptop runs the meeting in a third-party app and uses the A50 as its camera, microphones and speakers, with content shared at up to 4K 30fps. General Mode also covers H.323 and SIP calling.

Stored data is protected by AES-128 or AES-256 full disk encryption. Device attestation protects the bar's identity, and Arm TrustZone protects its keys.

Remote Management for IT Teams

The A50 can be managed through Microsoft Teams Admin Center or Intune, Zoom Device Management, RingCentral Admin Center, or the Yealink Device Management Platform and Management Cloud Service. Each bar also has an HTTPS web portal.

Firmware upgrades, configuration and system log exports can be handled remotely. New bars can be set up by auto-provisioning, and configurations can be exported from one room and imported into another. The A50 connects by Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and needs 10Mbps or more.
