The TP-Link Aginet EX820v AX6000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 VoIP Router is a high-performance networking solution designed to deliver fast wireless connectivity, multi-gigabit wired networking and integrated internet telephony from a single device.

Featuring next-generation Wi-Fi 6 technology, combined wireless speeds of up to 6 Gbps, a 2.5 Gigabit WAN connection and dedicated VoIP phone ports, the EX820v provides a powerful platform for demanding home, home-office and service-provider deployments.

Delivering up to 4804 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, the EX820v uses an 8-stream Wi-Fi 6 architecture to support high-bandwidth applications and multiple connected devices. EasyMesh compatibility enables wireless coverage to be expanded using compatible devices, while the Aginet app, web-based management and comprehensive remote-management capabilities simplify ongoing network administration.

AX6000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Performance

Built around 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 technology, the TP-Link EX820v provides significantly increased wireless capacity and efficiency for modern connected environments. It delivers combined wireless speeds of up to approximately 6 Gbps, comprising up to 4804 Mbps over 5 GHz and 1148 Mbps over 2.4 GHz.

The router incorporates technologies including 1024-QAM, MU-MIMO and OFDMA, helping multiple compatible devices communicate efficiently while reducing congestion on busy networks. This makes the EX820v particularly well suited to environments where smartphones, computers, smart devices, IP cameras, streaming equipment and VoIP devices may all be connected simultaneously.

TP-Link states that the EX820v can accommodate over 250 simultaneous device connections, although actual capacity and performance will vary according to network conditions and connected equipment.

2.5 Gigabit Internet & Wired Connectivity

The TP-Link EX820v goes beyond conventional Gigabit networking with a dedicated 2.5 Gbps WAN port and 2.5 Gbps LAN port, enabling compatible high-speed broadband connections and local network devices to take advantage of increased wired bandwidth.

Three additional Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports provide connectivity for computers, IP phones, switches and other wired network equipment, while the integrated USB 3.0 port supports high-speed access to compatible external storage devices.

This combination makes the EX820v particularly suitable where both high-performance wireless connectivity and reliable wired networking are required.

Integrated VoIP Phone Connectivity

Unlike a conventional Wi-Fi router, the EX820v also incorporates a dedicated VoIP telephone system.

Two integrated FXS phone ports allow compatible existing analogue telephones to be connected directly to the router, enabling users to make and receive calls over an appropriately configured VoIP service.

TP-Link also supports multiple VoIP accounts and features including Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Holding and Call Forwarding. Voicemail storage can also be supported when suitable USB storage is connected to the router's USB port.

Extensive Wi-Fi Coverage

Beamforming technology works alongside the EX820v's high-performance antennas to provide stronger and more focused wireless coverage throughout the home or office. By directing Wi-Fi signals towards connected devices, the router helps improve connection strength and maintain more reliable wireless performance across the network.

EasyMesh Whole-Home Wi-Fi

EasyMesh compatibility allows the EX820v to form part of a flexible mesh Wi-Fi network using compatible EasyMesh devices.

Rather than relying solely on a single router to provide coverage throughout a property, additional compatible devices can be incorporated to extend wireless connectivity into areas with weaker reception.

The EX820v also supports 802.11k/v/r mesh protocols, helping compatible devices move between wireless access points as users travel around the property.
