The Mitel 5624 WiFi Phone is designed to be used in office and medium demanding environments such as hospitals. It is suitable for users who are dependent on voice and messaging features which make it ideal for applications where the user needs 2-way messaging or to be able to interact with other users.

The Mitel 5624 is a feature rich SIP Enabled VoWiFi Phone with Colour Display providing telephony and messaging over 802.11 a/b/g/n/ standards. The Mitel 5624 is delivered with standard telephony features, which can them be enhanced using Services, Personal Alarm, Location and Shared Phone Licences.

WiFi is ideally suited to businesses who have a need for both wireless voice and wireless data capabilities and prefer to deploy these services over a single, converged infrastructure.

WiFi involves deploying a VoIP compatible wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure that can support both VoIP (Voice) applications and data applications concurrently. This provides for broader multipurpose use, but requires more wireless access points, more precise site engineering, and ongoing management.

The 5624 is Mitel’s first VoWiFi handset operating on 802.11n networks, it supports the deployment of voice over the network without degrading the performance of an existing 802.11n network’s capacity. A Mitel 5624 WiFi Phone based solution delivers trouble-free WLAN vendor interoperability and scalability, as well as the capacity to integrate and communicate with a comprehensive range of external sources.

The Mitel 5624 can be managed and configured using the Mitel WSM Server along Mitel 5603/5604 handsets enabling a wide range of devices to be managed and configured in a mixed IP-DECT and WiFi environment.
