The Fanvil LINKVIL W620P is an IP cordless phone system made up of the W710D DECT base station and one W620D handset, for small and medium-sized businesses whose staff take calls away from a desk. A single W710D base registers up to 10 handsets and carries up to 10 calls at once across 20 SIP accounts. Coverage reaches up to 50 metres indoors and 300 metres outdoors.

About the Fanvil W620P IP Cordless Phone System

The W620P is a single-base DECT system. The W710D base connects to your network by Ethernet and registers to your SIP phone system or hosted VoIP service. Each W620D handset links to the base over DECT radio on the European 1880 to 1900 MHz band, and the base passes calls on to your provider over the network.

The base holds up to 20 SIP accounts and 10 internal extensions. That gives each of the 10 handsets its own extension, with spare accounts for shared lines such as a sales or support number.

About the W620D Handset

The W620D has a 2.4-inch colour screen at 240 x 320 pixels and a 3-core processor running a Linux operating system. Next to the keypad are 16 virtual DSS keys, a physical programmable key and a Push-to-Talk (PTT) button, which puts speed dials and team contact one press away.

A 3000mAh battery gives up to 13 hours' talk time and up to 240 hours on standby in ideal conditions. The handset vibrates for incoming calls, keeps a log of 600 calls and supports auto-answer, speed dial and call waiting. It measures 160 x 53 x 16 mm and weighs 256 g.

About the W710D Base Station

The W710D measures only 140 x 100 x 26 mm, it has been designed to be wall mounted. It has two 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports, one for the network and one bridged PC port, so a computer can share the same cable run. Power comes from PoE or a 5 V 1 A DC supply.

The base stores up to 20,000 call logs across the system and holds configuration files for all 10 handsets. Administrators manage it through a web interface, with packet capture and syslog for troubleshooting.

Call Quality and Audio Features

The W620P supports the G.722 and Opus wideband codecs for HD voice, as well as the standard G.711 and G.729 codecs used by most VoIP providers. Intelligent noise reduction cuts background sound on your side of the call, and Fanvil's acoustic shield technology helps keep voices clear when the user is somewhere noisy.

Users can set up a 6-way audio conference from the handset. Auto-answer, speed dial and call waiting are also built in.

Compatible with SIP-based IP PBX systems and hosted VoIP services, the system supports up to 20 SIP accounts, allowing connections to multiple providers. It also supports IPv4 and IPv6, DHCP or static IP configuration, and VLAN assignment via DHCP, CDP or LLDP. For easier management, automatic provisioning is available through TR-069 or DHCP Option 66, alongside manual configuration through the web interface.
