The Algo 8373 IP Zone Paging Adapter enables organisations to integrate SIP-based VoIP telephone systems with existing analogue paging amplifiers while providing flexible multi-zone paging control. Designed for IP communication environments, the device allows announcements to be broadcast across three independent paging zones connected to a single amplifier. This allows targeted communication across different areas of a building such as offices, warehouses, reception areas or production facilities while maintaining seamless integration with modern VoIP communication platforms.
The Algo 8373 provides three relay-controlled paging zones, enabling a single amplifier to serve multiple groups of speakers. Each zone can be activated independently, allowing announcements to be directed to specific areas or broadcast across all zones simultaneously. This eliminates the need for a separate legacy zone controller while maintaining existing paging infrastructure.
The adapter operates as a SIP endpoint and registers directly to IP PBX or hosted VoIP platforms. Users can initiate paging by dialling a SIP extension, receiving multicast audio streams, or using DTMF commands. This allows organisations to extend their communications system beyond desk phones and deliver announcements across large facilities.
In addition to analogue paging outputs, the 8373 supports RTP multicast transmission, enabling announcements to be broadcast to IP speakers and other compatible endpoints across the network. Multiple adapters can also be deployed to support additional paging zones in larger buildings.
The 8373 supports wideband audio codecs including G.722 HD voice, ensuring clear and intelligible speech for paging announcements. The device includes an isolated balanced line output designed to minimise electrical noise and interference when connected to paging amplifiers.
The device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing both power and network connectivity to be delivered via a single Ethernet cable. Its compact design allows installation within communications cabinets, wall mounts or equipment racks for easy deployment in enterprise environments.
The Algo 8373 can be configured through an intuitive web-based management interface or deployed using automated provisioning methods. The device supports remote monitoring, configuration tools and network management platforms, allowing IT teams to easily manage paging infrastructure across their organisation.
