About the Algo 8201

The Algo SIP-PoE Intercom is an IP Doorphone that offers handsfree visitor communication for visitors and guests at a secure entrance such as a door or a gate. The Algo 8201 is compatible with most Hosted / Cloud and Premise based VoIP Telephone Systems.

The outdoor rated UV stabilised plastic enclosure, corrosion resistant faceplate, conformally protected curcuitry and backlit call button all provide an IP66 weather protection rating, which is protection from dust, sand and ice. The 8201 can be surface or flush mounted in a standard double gang electrical box. The Algo 8201 also includes a surface mount plastic bezel for maximum installation flexibility.

Algo 8201 supports the Wideband G.722 codec, which provides optimum speech clarity and intelligibility for critical safety applications where reliable voice communication is a must. It also supports multicast for paging,  this makes it the ideal solution for large buildings or campuses.

Integration with any SIP enabled UC environment means that the 8201 SIP Intercom can be configured to communicate with any device, phone or client that is connected to the communication network.

An internal relay activated by telephone key press can be used for door or gate control and for maximum security the intercom is compatible with the Algo 8063 IP Door Controller which can be remotely located. An input is also provided for wiring to a door contact for monitoring door position and detection of door tampering.

The 8201 SIP Intercom is easy to install and configure, thanks to its intuitive web interface and centralised provisioning features. Before the device is registered with a SIP server, a simple press of the call button will “speak” the IP address of the device. This allows you to access the web interface using a standard web browser and configure the device securely over HTTPS.
