The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise 8244 DECT Handset is a professional wireless system handset designed to provide reliable mobile communications for employees working across compatible Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise DECT environments.

Combining a large 2.4-inch colour display, Bluetooth 4.2, hands-free speakerphone, 3.5mm headset connectivity and dedicated alarm functionality, the 8244 provides a versatile communications solution for mobile employees working across offices, healthcare, industrial and other professional environments.

Please Note - The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise 8244 is a DECT system handset and requires compatible Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise telephone system and DECT infrastructure to operate; it is not a standalone cordless telephone.

This product is supplied as the handset package only - the desktop charging cradle and power supply are not included, but are available separately.

Large 2.4-Inch Colour Display

The 8244 features a 2.4-inch TFT colour display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution and support for up to 65,000 colours, providing a clear interface for managing calls, contacts, messages and supported telephone system functions.

Its larger display makes everyday information easier to access while employees are moving around their workplace.

Bluetooth 4.2 & Headset Connectivity

Integrated Bluetooth 4.2 allows compatible Bluetooth headsets to be connected wirelessly to the handset, giving employees greater freedom while handling calls.

A 3.5mm headset connection is also provided for compatible wired headsets, allowing users to select the call-handling option best suited to their working environment.

Hands-Free Calling

An integrated hands-free speakerphone provides another convenient option for managing conversations without continuously holding the handset.

Combined with Bluetooth and wired headset support, this gives employees greater flexibility when communicating while carrying out other workplace tasks.

Emergency Alarm Functionality

The 8244 incorporates a dedicated alarm key, providing quick access to supported emergency functions when used with compatible system infrastructure.

Location Support

The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise 8244 supports DECT and Bluetooth-based location functionality, providing additional support for mobile employees when integrated with compatible workplace systems.

Location functionality can use triangulation from up to four DECT base stations, while more precise location can be supported through Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) beacon detection. Location data can be transmitted with notifications, with an external server required for this functionality.

Up to 17 Hours Talk Time

A rechargeable 1100mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 160 hours of standby time, helping the handset support employees throughout demanding working periods.

The battery is replaceable, providing a practical solution for professional environments where handsets may remain in service for extended periods.

Robust Design for Professional Use

The 8244 combines a streamlined design with an anti-slip finish, helping provide a secure grip during intensive everyday workplace use.

Its robust construction has also undergone free-fall testing, including 12 drops onto concrete with testing extended to a height of 2 metres, providing additional reassurance where accidental drops may occur.
