The 8262 is IP65 Rated, making it shock resistant, dust and water splashes resistant.

The 8262 implements a full set of Isolated Worker Protection services that ensures people who work alone or in difficult environments are safe against accidents and incidents at the workplace. The Isolated Worker Protection services include man down, no movement, pull cord and SOS emergency button.

Isolated Worker Protection is even better when augmented with device geo-location, for the 8262 DECT Handset - low cost and high precision has been chosen, the device supports Bluetooth 4.0 low energy technology, radio transmitters are disseminated throughout the work yard, and intelligence is concentrated in the centralised management and supervision system.

The Alcatel-Lucent 8262 Handset offers useful features for challenging environments that includes a large colour screen for crystal clear readability, HD Audio for superior sound quality and Bluetooth Technology for Headset use.
