The Intelligent Recording Interface prevents starting of recording by room noise when the phone is on hook because its microprocessor can detect when a call is in progress

• The IRI can adjust the volume of the customer in your handset/headset to a comfortable level, even if your telephone does not have this facility

• For developers: a stereo cable plugged into the mono socket sends a control tone to indicate to an external application when the telephone is on and off hook. Also the LED socket gives a voltage when a call is in progress, and not between calls
