Review: Panasonic KX-TGF320

Now don’t let that name fool you into thinking that this handset is made only for a busy household. Though it has many uses as a household phone it can also be used in any small office or workplace; if you work from home then it’s the perfect combination of the two.

Price

First off, I know it’s not traditional to discuss the price at the beginning of a review but I need to mention that at just over £70 the price of this handset really adds points to the argument that it is perfect for any small office environment or a house in which business takes place. You don’t need to be turning over millions annually to be able to afford this handset for your company however you can rely on the quality of the product based on the manufacturer’s reputation; Panasonic is widely regarded as one of the top names in telecommunications. And of course, it’s obvious from the list of features available with this handset that the Panasonic KX-TGF320 is a contender for any start-up or existing small business.

Design

Designed in metallic black this handset automatically draws on a sleek and sophisticated office style whilst remaining functional and practical. The large one-touch dialling buttons make for quick shortcuts that are easy to see and are sure to enable fast contact with your business or family contact list. The LCD screen is large and has a number of viewing options to suit the different office environments you may work in. Overall the design is sturdy and practical as well as sleek and stylish.

Features

The Panasonic KX-TGF320 boats a wide range of features that are sure to prove their worth in terms of quality and value for money. At the top of the features list is Call transfer, Call Blocker, Caller ID, Do Not Disturb mode and a 40-minute answering machine for times when you’re very busy or out of the office. As well as that the handset has conference call facilities, a standby time of 330 hours, a 100 entry phone book and a talk time of up to 17 hours.

Audio Quality

As with all Panasonic handsets and headsets, the audio quality on the KX-TGF320 is well within the higher end of the spectrum. For the modest price of this handset, the sound quality is far better than some of the other branded models out there for a similar or higher price. With a loudspeaker option and generally high volume, you’ll be able to communicate clearly and crisply with whoever is on the other end of the line.

Set Up and Range

The Panasonic KX-TGF320 is a combination of a corded desk phone and a cordless handset which gives the user complete flexibility when using the phone. Whether you wish to move around or sit at your desk the options are available for you to do both. The set up itself is very easy with a corded unit that connects to your phone line and the rest just requiring a standard plug socket. The indoor range of this Panasonic handset is 50 metres with an outdoor range of 300 metres as well. As mentioned before you have the option of using either the corded or cordless handset whilst on a call with a wide range available without any decrease in sound quality.

Overall

At a very modest price, this handset features everything you’d expect from an office phone without the large price tag. The phone itself is stylish, practical and efficient and can be used either in a small workplace or at home.
