This means you can clearly listen to someone far away and someone next to you at the same time. You can even remotely control the settings on the transmitter with the receiver. You can also adjust the bass and treble and balance the sound between your left and right ears to suit your hearing loss. The system comes with a separate external microphone which when plugged into the transmitter, can clip to clothing and can fasten next to a TV speaker.
