The stylish C65 is a wireless headset designed to be registered to any GAP compatible DECT base station the unit is supplied with a fast desk charger and headset holder. Once registered, the C65 becomes an independent additional extension to the DECT base station, but with no dial pad. The C65 is the perfect solution to workers that require a hands free wireless communication solution. The product enables you to answer and terminate calls up to 100m away from your base station. Standard features include 9 hours conversation time & noise-cancelling microphone that reduces background noise.

Q: How does the headset register to the system? A: The C65 will register to your main base unit effectively as an additional handset on your cordless phone system, so for example if you have a twin handset, your C65 will be handset number 3 on the system. When registering the headset to your cordless phone system, if you check your phone's manual and look up the section on "registering a new handset", you need only follow the instructions on how to put your base unit into registration mode (this is usually achieved simply by pressing and holing the "page", or "find" button on the base unit for approximately three to five seconds until a beep is heard). When following instructions on registering a handset, refer to the C65's manual and put the headset into registration mode at the same time.

Q: How do I answer or end calls on the headset? A: If a call comes in, you will hear a soft beeping noise in the headset and will be able to simply press the button on the side of the headset to answer the call. When you have finished talking you can again, press the button on the headset to end the call. (Some of the Panasonic KX-TG range do not support this beep and you will need to listen out for your phone ringing).

Q: How do I make a call from the headset? A: Because the headset is registered to your base unit effectively as an additional handset, a handset with no dial pad, then you can't directly make outgoing calls from the headset. You can, however, make a call from one of your handsets and then transfer the call internally to your headset. Usually achieved by pressing the "int" button on your handset, then dialing the number corresponding to your headset - this would be 3 as in the case mentioned above with a twin pack and the headset. You can then answer the internal call on your headset and terminate the call from the handset, therefore transferring the call over to the headset. N.B This sounds MUCH more complicated than it actually is... it is a procedure that can be achieved in seconds and works as quickly as you'd expect on a regular office system.

Q: Can I adjust the volume and mute calls on the headset? A: Yes, there are controls on the headset that allow you to do this easily and quickly. **Please note that the C60 will not work with Philips Cordless phones - this is due to the registration code being different in Philips phones** This headset works well with BT Diverse, Siemens Gigaset and Panasonic TX-TG Cordless Phones!
