Additional Handset for Use with PowerTel 2700, 2780 and 2880 Amplified Telephones

The Amplicomms PowerTel range of phones have been designed for users who experience hearing difficulties, remembering important telephone numbers and using a standard telephone can be difficult. The Amplicomms Powertel 2701 has been designed with those users in mind and helps to alleviate those difficulties. The PowerTel 2701 is an Additional Handset for the PowerTel 2700, PowerTel 2780 and Powertel 2880, and is designed with high amplification, low distortion, and is compatible with hearing aids. Its quick and easy to install - only an electrical socket is required for the Additional Handset.

Range of the Handset

The range of the Handset depends on several factors including the thickness of the walls and building materials, the indoor range is up to 50 metres and the outdoor range in line of sight is up to 300 metres.

Amplified Additional Cordless Handset

The Powertel Cordless Additional Handset is ideal for carrying around the home, it can be placed anywhere in the house allowing users to take it with them from room to room if they are expecting a call, the amplified ringer volume up to 90dB and receiver volume up to 40dB enables users to adjust the ringers to their preference and choose between ten ringtones. HD (DSL) sound provides low distortion with a built in equaliser, and this can be changed between four settings - Natural, Treble 1, Treble 2 and Bass. Up to 5 Additional Handsets can be used with each PowerTel 2700, PowerTel 2780 and Powertel 2880 base. The Handset can display Caller ID and will store the last 50 numbers (Dependent on Available Services from Telephone Company/Provider). The Handset is powered by 3 included rechargeable AAA batteries and the base for the Handset is plugged into the mains socket with the included Power Supply.
