I like these phones, solid build quality and great range. Like the previous reviewer, I certainly didn't get 1k, but I suspect that is a line-of-sight range, I did get more than satisfactory coverage to my workshop at the far end of my garden which is more than 300m away from the base unit at the front of the house.

The claim that this phone has a 1km range is misleading. Once a corner is turned the signal is quickly lost. The viewing window is very small and not easily readable. The single button to accept and terminate calls can be confusing and has lead to calls not being terminated and consequential increased phone bills. How this is considered 5 star is beyond me.

Hard wearing good range and call quality would definitely recommend.
