Overview

Panasonic have launched the outstanding, dual purpose Panasonic KX-TG 6461 in their new premium quality range of cordless DECT phones. This inventive, hybrid model features a conventionally styled corded phone that also supports a fully functional cordless handset for maximum phoning flexibility. The corded handset base with dial-pad and answering machine operates as a traditional phone and also ingeniously performs as the base station for the cordless handset - which can be used anywhere within a 50m (indoors) & 300m (outdoors) range of the base.

Use as a main phone with a cordless extension

This innovative system enables the corded handset base of the KX-TG 6461 to be used as a main phone, (connected to a fixed phone socket) and allows the additional handset to function as an ultra-convenient, roaming extension for use anywhere around the home or workplace. The wall-mountable, corded base features a ringer LED and large easy-to-read 2.5 inch amber-backlit LCD display screen. The dial-pad buttons are extremely well organised for fast, accurate dialling and the handy control panel on the base facilitates easy operation of the 20 minute answering machine.

A host of useful functions

The KXTG-6461 features a built-in speakerphone on the base for hands-free conversations and an intercom/call transfer facility between the main phone and the cordless handset. The phone has power failure protection, caller ID with incoming call-barring, (where caller ID is available) and a dual 100 name & number phone book shared between the phone’s handsets. The versatile Panasonic-KX-TG-6461 can be personalised with a choice of up to 16 polyphonic ringtones.

The premium quality cordless handset is a full-specification DECT phone that features a large 1.8 inch LCD amber-backlit display and spacious keypad with large buttons for comfortable operation. The handset can be used to operate all the answering machine’s functions and all received messages can be played back on either of the phone’s handsets. The Panasonic KX-TG-641’s cordless handset rests on its own stylish charging cradle and incorporates a high-specification Panasonic speakerphone for flexible hands-free chatting with superb sound quality and voice clarity.
