The initial order was dealt with by a very efficient and courteous young man who was polite and knowledgeable. I was told the handsets would be with me within 2 days and would have an email invoice and another advising me of delivery time.
The phones ordered on Monday were delivered by courier on Wednesday morning. The boxes opened, the phones have a solid build and are very pleasing to the eye and they have the look and feel of a high end mobile phone.
This set was replacing a Binatone Activity 2000 quin set which gave me faithful service for some six years and whilst this system was rather limited in many ways, the sound quality and easy of calling were two of its benefits.
Set up of the Siemens telephones was very easy. Remembering to read the instruction manual about setting up proved very helpful and a part of this was to ensure that once the phones were put on charge they were to be left there for SIX hours. Once this stage was completed, they were not to be returned to the base until they were fully discharged (and they are not as yet - a week later). This apparently helps the battery to hold its charge longer.
Synchronising my outlook contacts from my computer was very easy to complete (I have over 300 contacts on there!) and once transferred to the handset it was an easy process to send all of these to each of the other handsets.
Handset volume is reasonable although the volume on hands free could be louder. Sound quality is good. The menus are easy to navigate and there are many functions which can be altered to your taste. There is however a rather limited range of ring tones (I like the sound of an old fashioned telephone which isn't there) but these can be downloaded from the web and installed quite easily. The answerphone is easy to set up and check from any handset or remotely. Sending SMS's is also very easy on this system.
The range of the handsets seems to be very good. I live in an older house and get good signals throughout with no drop outs or dead areas.
Without sounding like a Siemens salesman (which I am not!), this is a quality system which both looks and performs well. Whilst it is rather expensive initially, the investment seems to be worthwhile for such an adaptable and high spec system.

The SL785 Quint set of cordless phones is perfect for the house. We have each phone in the main rooms and its great that nobody has to sprint to answer the phone as before when there was only one.
PMC provided a good quality product at an affordable price, delivered in only 2 days.
