The Avaya INDeX 2060 Phone is a new sophisticated handset incorporating all the functionality of the Avaya INDeX 2050, with the added benefit of first-party CTI support, allowing users to dial from their desktop PC using database and preview dialling applications.

The Avaya INDeX 2060 offers all the features of the Avaya INDeX 2050, including menu driven intuitive displays, on hook dialling, handsfree operation, DSS/BLF with a large LCD and access to visual voice mail. The context sensitive display allows users to access all the advanced features of the Avaya INDeX communications platform by following the intuitive menu driven options.

The Avaya INDeX 2060 enables a desktop PC and a telephone to be linked, providing simple and cost effective first-party CTI. The Avaya INDeX 2060 simply connects to a serial port on the PC via a V24 connection.

With this high level of integration the Avaya INDeX 2060 may be controlled from the PC allowing the user to benefit from the PC taking control of call setup and other functions. The PC is able to dial from many windows based applications such as databases or other contact packages.
